Shepherds and Servants: A Study in 1 Timothy taught by Pastor Jim

Join us for a Bible study together as we explore key passages in 1 Timothy that show how Christ intends to make His church flourish.

In particular, we will spend time looking at what Scripture teaches about the two offices in the church: elders and deacons. What is an elder, and how do elders shepherd and lead God’s people? What is a deacon, and how do deacons serve the church? Who is qualified for these roles? Are the qualifications the same? Are either, both, or neither of those roles open to both men and women? (We will dedicate nearly an entire evening to careful study of this question.) Do you have to be married? What does the Bible say about character, family life, reputation, sobriety, and other qualifications?

Come study 1 Timothy with us as we seek to understand and faithfully live out God’s design for His church.

Adults and teens can attend without registration.
